International shipments
The following documents are required by QIMR, Australian Customs Service and Australian Quarantine Inspection Service (AQIS) for all international shipments:
- Current copy of Queensland Institute of Medical Research import permit
- Commercial invoice on shippers letterhead (three duplicate copies required) (This option is to be used by collaborators from other research institutes, universities and laboratories etc)
- Manufacturer’s declaration on shippers letterhead (three duplicate copies required) (this option is for suppliers of purchase products)
These documents are to be placed in a secure clear document holder on the outer packaging of the shipment for access by Australian border protection services. Example documents are available in the links above.
Please note: Shipments via Federal Express without the correct paperwork must be resolved within 5 days. If the missing paperwork is not provided, Federal Express policy states that the shipment will be returned to the sender at their expense.
